Arsene Wenger has dismissed suggestions Arsenal have already fallen behind Tottenham in North London's balance of power and believes his young team will improve next season. The Gunners remain six points behind second-placed Spurs, albeit with a game in hand, and are widely considered to be out of the race for this season's Premier League title. "First of all, we are not behind yet," he said ahead of  his side's  Super Sunday  game with Crystal Palace "Tottenham have been 18 years behind us, they survived you know, so let's be realistic. Popular Nollywood actor and member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Desmond Elliot, on Monday told his contemporaries at the Assembly that he lost his mother-in-law for the reason that there were no pedestrian bridges across an expressway in Lagos. He did not reveal the particular expressway or when the incident occurred, but said his mother-in-law was hit while she was trying to cross the expressway on her return from the Daleko market in the Mushin area of Lagos where she had gone to buy foodstuff. Elliot was arguing in favour of a motion to call on the Federal Government to provide a pedestrian bridge at Toyota Bus Stop along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway. The House also called on the Lagos state government to provide palliatives in the form of road signs and zebra crossings on strategic areas of the road and ensure compliance by motorists. The motion was moved by Jude Idimogu, the representative of Oshodi Constitue

Eden Hazard:In a dark place - Guus Hiddink

Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard is in a "dark" place, according to interim manager Guus Hiddink. Hazard, 25, was named PFA Players' Player of the Year as Chelsea won the Premier League last term but is yet to score a league goal this season. "Last year everything was beautiful and this year everything is, for him, dark. The contrast is huge," said Hiddink. "He was the number one and now he's at the end of a long row of players. That's difficult. What do you do?" Belgium international Hazard, who has four years left on his contract at Stamford Bridge but has been strongly linked with a move away from the club, will miss Saturday's home game against Manchester City through injury. "The next period will be very interesting for him," added Hiddink. "Not now, just this season, but also the Euros and the upcoming season. "If he is planning (to move) in his career, then he must show it where he is playing now an
