Ex minister’s son allegedly involved in $115m scam

Image
Ugonna Madueke,  the son of the former Minister of petroleum,  Diezani Alison-Madueke,  has been implicated in an ongoing investigation by the  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). According to the EFCC source,  “The MD said it was Diezani’s son that sent him a list of beneficiaries which included several INEC officials and election monitors across the 36 states. Diezani specifically instructed that the funds be disbursed at least a day or two before the elections. The total amount of money was $115m and Diezani told the bank to convert the funds into naira, which was about N23.3bn at the time. “However, the suspects told us that the volume of money was too big and they had problems converting the funds. So, Diezani told the bank MD to use the bank’s funds and hold on to the dollars as collateral and that after elections, the bank could use the dollars to replace the bank funds.” Okonkwo might be for conspiracy by the EFCC.

Stella Damasus "The Alternative" isn't the best option in Gospel music

Image

Comedian says he would not tolerate negativity on social media

Image
He wrote, " And this my dear friends is what Jesus meant when he said "if your eye (anything) will make you sin...pluck (delete) it put". And as a very obedient child, you know what to do. Don't mind those who say learn to tolerate. If you are somewhere and the air is so foul, do you tolerate? If you are in a place and you are not sure of your safety, will you not extrapolate yourself from there? So why is it hard for you to understand that people who don't add value and are bent on erasing the little you have should be distanced? And by distanced, I don't mean ignored. I meant cut off totally. Or did Jesus say close your eyes? Na he said pluck it out! It means go to the extreme to protect your sanity. Unhealthy company can make you sick and drive you to seek the things that will eventually kill you. So starting with my online platforms, if I catch a whiff of anything that can use its reggae to spoil my blues... I am yanking the communication channel. No
