D’ Banj angry, cancels endorsement deal

Nigerian Artiste, Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo popularly known as D’banj says he will not renew his endorsement deal with Ciroc at the expiration of the present contract. The Koko master, who made the announcement on his instagram page, however, did not give more details for his decision. “D’banj has decided not to renew his @cirocnigeria endorsement,’’ it read. He showed a video of himself swaying to his new song while chilling in his pool with his cute dog. D’banj was announced as a brand ambassador for Ciroc Nigeria in February, 2015 alongside Banky W. The artiste thereafter took to his social media page to confirm to fans that he really did make the decision. D’banj’s announcement reads: “iambangalee#BreakingNews: D’Banj has decided not to renew his @cirocnigeria endorsement.” Fans had, however, backed the artiste up, encouraging him to start a brand of alcohol for himself, saying “we think he’ll name it Koko.’’ Ciroc is a brand of eau-de-vie vodka made in Franc

Music legend, Tuface and wife visit Esama of Benin

Nigerian music legend, Tuface Idibia and his wife, Annie Idibia will today, May 10, 2016, be conferred with an honorary degree at Igbinedion University, Okada, Benin. Ahead of the honorary award, the couple arrived Benin Kingdom yesterday and paid a courtesy visit to the Esama of Benin Kingdom who is also the founder of the university, Gabriel Igbinedion. Tuface alongside his wife ate kolanut with the Esama.

Femi Otedola’s daughter, DJ Cuppy graduates from New York Varsity

Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, today, May 10, 2016, took to her Instagram page to share the news of her graduation with her fans and followers. DJ Cuppy is the daughter of the Nigerian billionaire and oil mogul, Chief Femi Otedola. The celebrity DJ is now an MSc holder from the New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development.

We have capacity to crush Niger Delta Avengers – DHQ

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has warned the Niger Delta Avengers who have been bombing crude oil pipelines of the grave consequences of their actions because “the military has capability to crush any individual or group destroying strategic assets in Niger Delta”. The DHQ said is not unaware of the emergence of a group in the Niger Delta region who have vowed to cripple economic activities through pipeline vandalism, oil theft and kidnap of expatriate workers in that region and that it will not hesitate to deploy every available resources to deal decisively with any threats to economic lifeline of the nation.
