English coach linked with Super Eagles job


Redknapp has joined the likes of French coaches Paul Le Guen and Claude Le Roy who have been linked with the job.

English coach, Harry Redknapp is the latest coach to be linked with the Super Eagles job.

The president of the Nigeria Football FederationAmaju Pinnick has revealed that a foreign coach will be named for the Super Eagles in no short time.

According to reports, representatives of Redknapp sounded out the potential for him to become Sunday Oliseh's successor, according to a source at the NFF.
The 69-year-old who won the FA Cup during his time with Portsmouth, last month agreed to take over as manager of the Jordan national team for World Cup qualifiers against Bangladesh and Australia.
The NFF have however indicated they have no interest in Redknapp.
NFF’ search for a foreign for the Super Eagles has not been approved by the Sports Ministry.
During a meeting between NFF heads and Youth and Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung, the football body was asked to present a report where the reason why Nigeria actually need a foreign coach will be stated.
The NFF are also to state how the foreign coach will be funded in the report. The decision to hire a foreign coach will be decided based on the submission on the technical report.
